After sleeping at another RV park for
the night, we got up and went to Tim Horton's for breakfast. It was
pretty good. We stayed at Tim Horton's for a little while, trying to
use their WiFi to blog this post, but it was way too slow. That
is why we are just now posting tuesday's.
We drove about 45-50 miles to North
Sydney, which is where the ferry leaves from.
We walked around the
town, and thought we were going to look at some thrift stores, but
they ended up just being piles of junk.
The guys were repairing the
broken shock, so we sat in the parking lot of Canadian Tire for
another hour. We then made our way to the ferry, got our boarding
passes, made lunch, and sat in line for 1 hour until we could board
at 2.
Our ship was the Highlander, the one on the right.
We boarded the ferry around 4:00
Boarding the ferry!
This was the guy who explained everything on and about the ship to us.
We arrived in Newfoundland around 10:00 PM. We still had an 8 to 10 hour drive to camp.
After driving a few hours, we pulled off the road into the long driveway of a ski resort to catch a few winks.
So sorry that we haven't been able to post for so long. Camp was in the middle of a not so prominent town, and thus there was no WiFi to be found. But...regular blogging will now resume!
Another post of which to partake! Alas, the sound of great rejoicing has returned to the land from whence you have come! (heh, heh) ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the time to put up another post. The ferry looked neat. Hope you had a great camp! Looking forward to hearing all about it!
