"...jolted awake by the sound of the rumble strip, I sat up, my eyes searching the darkness. Everyone else was asleep.... and for a second that included the driver. Watching his head bob up and down, I frantically wondered what I could do..."
As soon as we found an exit and switched drivers everything was fine.
We slept the rest of the morning, and didn't wake up until 10 or 11. After having a few snacks, we settled in for the rest of the drive.
Aunt Tanya made us DELISH BBQ sandwiches for lunch, along with fruit, and chips. She needed a hand with cooking, because the motor home was SO bumpy, that the cast-iron skillet almost jumped right off the stove. Literally.
Cousins!
Our next stop was Niagara Falls about 3 hours later. The falls were amazing. It was crazy to see that many gallons of water cascading over the edge. We were able to see Canada right across the river, and the bridge that connects it to the U.S.
After exploring the trails along the bank, and seeing both the Horseshoe Falls, and the Bridal Veil Falls, we went up to the Observation Deck to see the combined view of it all.
The bridge that connects the United States and Canada.
Afterwards, we trekked back to the motor home, had dinner, and decided on the campground where we would spend the night. So...thus we are publishing our days adventure from an old picnic table at a lovely KOA (Kampgrounds of America) near Niagara Falls. Until tomorrow....farewell!
